Inspire is an innovative new cultural organisation launched by Nottinghamshire County Council. We are a Community Benefit Society that is dedicated to inspiring people to grow, learn and achieve with the help of our services.
Nottinghamshire has a rich and vibrant cultural history, with a thriving creative community. We aim to nurture this by inspiring an appetite for learning and a desire to get involved with local cultural activities. We believe passionately in encouraging growth and personal development, whether through a love of reading, music, the arts or education.
Inspire has been created to manage some of Nottinghamshire’s libraries, archives and cultural services.
We want to better connect people to our services and make it easy for them to get involved. We will listen closely to our members, helping us to consistently deliver exceptional and inclusive customer service across all areas.
Inspire will provide the following services on behalf of the Council:
Books on prescription; anxiety, depression, dementia, sleep problems, stress, worry
Free online 'Caring with Confidence' course – hosted by NHS Choices
This is a course that is offered face to face by many carers services, aimed to boost carers resilience and coping strategies. It is now available as an online free course. This is great for working carers, anyone who is used to using the internet and can't get out.
This is a guide, full of top tips and reflection about things to think about when you find yourself caring for your partner, family member, a friend. It promotes early action in relationship support with focus on prevention rather than crisis intervention.
